Annoyingly with the sizes I've used there is joint over the middle of a pair of joists.. Do you have any tips? Or should I just introduce fuck loads of noggins?

Great how plywood is still imperial isn't it! With the benefit of hindsight you should've used 16" centres instead of 450mm.

Can you not just cut the sheet back to the nearest joist? Assuming you are running 8' across the joists you are still going to want to have a line of nogs along that edge, sheathing ply is a bugger for losing shape, ideally you don't want any unsupported edges.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing .. The problem is my floor base is 3.6/7.2 and 6 sheets is a PERFECT fit

I should have added an extra joist for the join.. FML!

Ply is metric. 2400 by 1200 is it not?

Davey, just noggin the joints and all will be well.

Plasterboard is metric, ply/osb/mdf is still mostly imperial, makes it great fun when you are have to get both on the same studs.

That's why I've decided to go with ply on the outside (board + batten) and hard-board on the inside.

I've gone for 1220 centres and I'm going to add some bracing and half+half uprights to re-enforce.

Yesterdays progress:

I made a slight miscalculation on the front wall (the double doors are wider than I remembered ) so instead of two 3.6m sections its now two sections of approx. 4.8m and 2.4m.. But I don't have any 4.8m 4x2 hence it not being finished.. Off to get some today.

I'd like to use this:

http://www.wickes.co.uk/Green-Corrugated-Bitumen-Sheet-950x2000mm/p/240059

Saves boarding AND felting.. I'm going to line the inside with ply anyway so it wont show on the inside..

She says "No! IT will look like a cow shed!"

You can't use that! Can you not increase the pitch and use proper roofing tiles?
