Explain to me why you'd spend £300 on a watch that says "Rolex" but isn't a Rolex. I seriously can't fathom it, especially at a price where you could buy a decent watch from a different brand. It's not like the watch in question is a completely unique design, that no other brand makes similarly.

Many other £300 watches would be as well, why choose the fake one?

I do treasure stuff Davey, probably more than you actually, I'm a weirdo, but I still use it.

As for the beautiful piece of engineering, bollocks.

The ETA movement might be the same as you get in many higher end watches but the case and strap are £300 worth, they can be spotted a mile away.

Its made of the same grade SS, even the band is hollow (like the real-thing)..

I'd challenge you to point out the one obvious flaw you can see from the 'outside'..

Lets be adults for once John, instead of waving your internet penis about why not show that you actually have some knowledge instead of just spouting bollocks

Firstly, I'd spot any fake straight away. Whether you can or not is irrelevant.

Secondly,

http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=621633&page=4

We discussed in here how even if real (which we all knew they weren't), your collection was still not making any money.

Better just giving it a break now.

As for the post above mine, I obviously spotted they were fakes the first time you put them up, how can I show anything more than that?

Simply pointing and saying "That's fake" doesn't mean you know what you are talking about

Why is it fake John? What gives away the fact it is fake.. Please explain your reasoning.. Because you're going to look a real dick IF pull out the service schedule, box and receipt and the whole thing was a bluff

Pull out the schedule and receipts if you want.

If I had that watch in front of me, I'd point out exactly how I knew it was fake.

The fact you are going back and forward between what's genuine and what isn't makes you a massive fruitcake anyway.

This and your other random lies like 996 911's being 6k 2 years ago just make you look like a bit of an idiot.

So you're calling it out as a Fake from a photo but you're telling me you need it in your hands to tell me why its a fake?

Ok John, you make complete sense

I said in the original thread that at least some of your watches were fake (which I still stand by). You've came in here claiming that was fake, which has jogged my memory on that last thread with the dubiety.

I would need more pictures to make a decision on that exact watch, I'm far from a Rolex expert, I have a dislike for them in general.

So you're back-peddling now? You agree I never once claimed it WAS genuine.. And you're also saying now you need more photos to confirm its fake but you're not willing to disclose why you think you'd know it was a fake even if I told you it was genuine?...

...STFU..

If I had enough pictures/had it in my hand, I could 100% tell you if it was genuine or fake.

Not back peddling about anything.

This is how it goes with you in all these threads (on any subject, not just watches or cars) then I get bored going round in circles and drop it.

But how John.. What specific areas are you going to look at/feel etc.?

Please share? Or are you simply relying on some kind of voodoo magic?

Why buy anything that's fake? If you can't afford the real thing, don't buy a knock off.

Half expect some of you to post next week in MR2 Replica Ferraris.

It's not voodoo, it's the feel, the look of it, experience. Same as loads of people on here, who are obviously into cars, can't see that the back end has been smashed up and then badly repaired.

I would love to see you put that to the test, as having worked in the pawnbroking and jewellery industry for a few years and knowing people with 30/40 + years experience who say that there are plenty of fakes/replica's out there, where the only way to tell is by taking the back off and checking the movement.

I'd love to put it to the test too.

How much does a replica which is so close to the original that you can't tell cost?

I know it'll still be a load cheaper, but enough to justify not buying the real deal?

John its not like a Rolex Submariner costs £4k to make! The actual material costs are minimal, you're paying for the brand.
