Seems like sacrilege, yet awesome at the same time. Must be a fairly amazing drive.

saw this a while back, i think the whole thing looks completly wrong and the people responsible must have something wrong with them.
wheels =shit
interior = shit
steering wheel = shit (why remove the awesome folding steering wheel)
engine bay = shit
over all = shit

surely its worth a quarter of an original

Reminds me of Singer, except worse in every single way.

Indeed Tom, but wrapped in a chunk of 50's Merc

I really wish they'd done something different with the wheels though. Something bespoke to cover the brakes perhaps, but more in keeping with the period.

God knows how you get in and out though, as the original SL needed the hinged wheel for access.

What a crock of shit.

I like it when they keep the exterior and interior original but new engine and runing gear.

You can get in them with out folding the wheel but it's not very dignified and getting out isn't the easiest.

I love the idea.. But the wheels and interior steering-wheel offend me; they just give the impression of 'desperation to finish'.
