Just come to put my car up for sale and no matter what I do it says it's £15.00 to post this ad? Sure I put my dads car up for sale on there recently for free! Guess it was only a matter of time :/

Been like that for ages now. Only get 1 free car ad per year, which you would have used up on your dads car.

Not free anymore but most of the time I prefer gumtree over eBay selling cars. Seems to be less messers. 99% of the time people phone from gumtree they turn up, have a test drive and buy it rather than eBay where you get most mivering for a week then nothing or 100 messages saying il give you a rusty fiesta, a bag of quavers and some loose skittles for a 2k car

Just add the cost of the advert to the sale of the car?

Having a number like £3015 doesn't look as appealing as £2995

2 free adverts and then £15. Worst thing is that your £15 only gives you the local audience, much bigger exposure on ebay for £10.

Oh, and ebay also own gumtree so its a win win for the shitcunts allround

New email address and you get another two free car ads a year.

Seem to get more success from Ebay than Gumtree. Always tends to be people calling up from London area ( 500 odd miles away) despite putting my location, postcode and even having a little map on the advert
