cat back system is a zorst thats been modded from the converter back. so i would say yes. but i would also say the car will sound raspy. get a hotdog centre muffler, nice and deep.

cat-back system is where the cat ends all the way to the backbox

so if u have a backbox allready, if you get a center section from some1 like powerflow, it will make ur exhaust a cat-back one

a cat back system refers to a non std exaust from the cat back (some have centre boxes like magnex etc and sum just have a straight through pipe to rear silencer eg sebring)

sorry, a hot dog muffler looks like a bulge in the zorst.

better:
Hotdog, Son of Bulldog exhaust mod: HOTDOG - The new "Stage IV Hotdog" muffler mod is an evolution of the Bulldog. It is quieter and has less backpressure. Essentially the mod converts the Bulldog, which is a shortened and gutted stock muffler with only a plate baffle, to a 2 ½" straight through glass packed muffler, similar in design to many commercial slip-ons, with the exception that the dimensions are optimized to offer minimum backpressure based on the stock header size for maximum HP. Reading the Hotdog mod procedure, references to the Bulldog mod, above, may be necessary.

here's the web. i know its for a bike but i've had them on my old car. it was a v8 with a twin 2.5" system. extractors then pipe a hd for each pipe. loud as hell!
