Hi, road tested my rebuilt xe 1st time and it drives fine in reverse but as soon as I go to pull off in first gear it bogs streight away to the point it would cut out if I didn't dip the clutch.

Seems to idle fine.

I've got an issue with aftermarket fuel pressure regulator as i set it to 2.5 bar but if I turn car off and on it goes up?

Will put standard 1 on tmoz to eliminate that..

But has anyone got any ideas what else it would be?

Pushed on time to fix before Pvs

took plugs out they were very black and sutted up? so overfueling? would that cause a bog?

Not sure what you count as cheap though.

I bought mine of eBay, and had exact symptoms for months that you're describing. That's only reason I ask

Unless your running carbs or big spec fuck it off and put it back on a 2.5 or fit a let 3.0 standard reg
