Nah. Just normal line.

Might do a few mods but not sure. Want to find out about a few mechanical things and what I can do with vagcom.

What is your thoughts on remapping it? Seen some people getting 180-250bhp, Can't see how a 138bhp engine can be taken to near 250bhp safely

I would love to get mine done but I don't want the hassle of the clutch or turbo breaking. I know they can go anytime but don't want the extra strain on the engine

I've heard it can be about 170-180, you would need more than a remap for more than that

Any pictures of it ?

Thats what i was thinking, i don't want another car with problems, think i'll keep it standard engine wise.

Will get pics, going to give it a detail/valet/megawash.

Wasn't there a problem with porous heads on the 140 engines?

the people to claim to be getting 250bhp just off a remap are talking utter shite.

170-180 is more realistic

Clutch should be fine, I had an A3 with the 170 2.0 TDI engine and had it remapped with no issues

Yeah alot of what i've read on audi forums are the ramblings of a bedroom mechanic. I can tell most of the owners are just repeating stuff they have read, all a bit Chinese whispers imo

Read an amazing quote lastnight, will have to find it.

Can't find the quote, but it was bascially a guy saying why diesels are better than petrols.

Went something like...

"If your having to wait until 6000-7000rpm to hit maximum bhp then you've already lost"

Trouble is it sounds like that type of thing is said in jest, when actually these people genuinely believe it.

I blame Top Gear.

Cracked heads common. The obv clutch/flywheel problem and the abs pump goes also quite common throws couple lights up on the dash steering wheel and traction light and a pressure difference in the pump code. All bits quite cheap anyways abs pump rebuild kit is only 130 and you can get a LUK flywheel+ clutch for 270.

Ive just got one. Fucking love It! 05 plate s-line rep 103k.. swapped it for an 03 plate leon!
