They didn't even take it up to the redline, which is where the most power is on an n/a engine. Could that not be the cause of the low figure?

Or could they see something not running correctly?

I'm not sure actually, that could be why but it was that busy I didn't really get chance to find out any more reasons.
That's a good point noted though it wasn't at the redline.

Usually when a sensor goes down eml comes on or the service light (on vauxhalls) I'd expect something to come on being a bmw. As long as there is still back pressure the straight through should free up some horses
As for the redline once you get near power drops, the most power is before the redline gutted I missed this I was still in bed until 10

Redline is like 7k on mine, they stopped at 5.3k :s
There should be a bit of back pressure I'd think, tbh I'm not sure what would be lost with the back box but they said it shouldn't have played that much of a part.

Apparently bmws can throw error codes without any lights being on. Not sure how true that is but I guess I'll find out.

I didn't get there until about 10.30 anyway mate

5350, 5250 and 5850 rpm are well short of the redline, so it should still be making power at that point.

I've driven my car hard plenty of times to know it pulls right up to the redline, which I think is 6750rpm? Even if it was 6250, theres still another 500rpm there which they didn't use.

Yeah you get a definite kick in the back the higher we go, there's no doubt.
But if you follow that graph to where it should have ended at say 6.5k, the bhp I think would have stopped where it should have. As just before they came off it started climbing quicker

They probably thought it was in limo mode due to your dash being lit up with the t/c fault tbh. You get 3 lights when it's buggered, don't you?

Two lights on mine. 3 is when the abs unit is fucked. Tbh they would have turned it off anyways.
Just looking at the info on our engines and it says 231hp at 5900rpm. They didn't even do that.

That's odd then. I'd like to dyno mine as i'm sure I have an issue when the engines warm, seems like it doesn't pick up as well as when it's heating up.

Nothing to do with the air filter as it's been like it since I changed a split intake pipe. Checked all the jubilee clips and they're fine, so god knows. Maybe it's my imagination?

When I was googling earlier some people said they had similar to what you just said and it could either be the maf or the O2 sensor I think. I briefly read it

Wait for the grumpy moaners.....

They were fucked so decided I'd use some of b&qs finest spray paint

With my mate newly lowered tourer that we sorted this week.

But when I'm sat behind my awesome new steering wheel I can't see them so doesn't matter

When i get out I laugh at how daft it looks, only for a few month and then the bbs will go back on. Then it'll be new wheels time again.

the purple looks alright in that car park shot. I've got my 107's on the front as the dished ones are buckled bloody potholes.

Steering wheel is lovely!

Yeah I prefer the purple. Just didn't have time to sort the blue. Be reet.

I'd never have 19s on my car for that reason, I'd buckle them within a few days

That tourer just looks broken. I don't think it's something I'm ever going to 'get'.

Your wheels don't look too bad, what made you go for the lairy colours?

Should of painted the wheels like the BMW logo, that would be cool.

So used to this thread not being updated, I thought this was Bens at first, as saw he had his fancy wheels off in one of his updates...
