Anyone recently bought one?
I've been looking at all in ones but don't think they are value for money.
I need a desktop PC for everyday use but want it to last a while.
I want an Intel processor must be quad core (i5 plus) at least 8GB RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, need 6 USB ports ideally 2 of them being USB 3.0. Looking to spend around £500.
Are Zoostorm any good?
Which places are good to buy from?

Just buy a Dell. 'Refurb (normally orders which have been sent back) with a 3 year NBD warranty.

At work we bought loads of Zoo Storms as cheap client PC's for a specific customer as it was priced quite tightly, and as they seemed to be half decent but in the space of a year I would go so far as to say there was a 50% failure rate

Speak to Sam on here - I just gave him a budget and a list of requirements and he specced / built me something to suit. Worked out pretty much 50% cheaper than anything available to buy.

Zoomstorm PCs build quality is crap. However, for £185 that argos were selling i5s with 8GB RAM for I was advising my own customers to go and pick up a couple.
Sam likes his i3s. I'm not a fan - feel very sluggish in comparison to the i5. You would be better with a half decent AMD chip. Cheap custom build PCs, i always question how legit the OS is...

There is no OS with that.
As John stated before i read the thread, it would work out cheaper to pick up a Dell refurb.
Dell sometimes have free delivery. At one point i picked up an i5, 4GB RAM, 250GB hard drive for just under £200. Came with Windows 7 Pro.
There are bargains to be had out there!

The fx chips of equal price to the i5 seems to offer more value for money, i5 I found ran seriously hot and the standard cpu cooler was flat out to cool them, also they only seem better if you are going to overclock them.
£140 on an amd gets you 8 core 4.0ghz+ 8mb cache and the i5 of there abouts price, quad core 3.20ghz 6mb cache (which is kickass cpu if oc'd)
If I had the need I would get an i7 series cpu but for a budget of £500 I would be going for amd over intel.

Couldn't recommend the 3 year warranty enough. Less than 24 hours later after my original call they have replaced my screen (few dead pixels), the AC in port, the fan and the lid. The screen was expected enough as it was failing, but the AC port was most likely due to wear and tear, the fan registered one fault but seemed to be working fine (but not worth chancing - words of the engineer) and the case was my fault and was cosmetic.
