I was in limbo weather or not to get a vx power box or similar but they can be a pain to fit apparently and get running smooth , also I heard they only come in around 5000rpm and shortly after you run out of revs. I know you can get the limiter raised but were talking big bucks and its not as easy as its made out. I spoke to uni chips company and they said they don't do a chip for the x14xe but instead I would have to let them have the car flash the ecu to make up a new map for that engine , then they would need to rolling road it etc.......long story short they quoted me about £600.
If there is a much cheaper and easier way then I will gladly look into it!

They're not that difficult to fit and they come in around 3000rpm do make a good difference.

ok I will look into buying one you can get a vx powerbox new off eBay for £110. are these the ones you guys use? do they really make a noticeable difference in throttle response.

i have a vx inlet, it does mke a difference but like u said it comes just before the limiter not sure how good it would be after a remap

I got some coil overs and a twin dtm style mongoose s/s exhaust system for sale soon as it lets me put adds up in classified. also breaking corsa 1.2 16v. just a heads up
