What's the most likely cause of this woeful first half of a season for Man Utd? Where does the blame lie?

I still can't believe that no one at City didn't realise they needed 1 more goal to go through as group winners

Palace at home.... Should be beating them lot!

A team that's ageing really. I might be wrong, but didn't they play a 40 year old man and a centre half for the future in their midfield during the week?

If you still need to play Giggs you know you have problems.

Van Persie injured as well doesn't help them.

Anderson is shit, Nani is fairly shit due to his inconsistency, Young isn't the best in the world, Giggs is old, Welbeck is inconsistent, Hernandez never plays, Van Persie injured, Rooney doing pretty well, though.

All in all their squad is really poor.

They've had an average squad at best for the past few years. It just so happens that they had a man renowned for getting the absolute best out of his team.
It's not that long ago that United had Tevez, Berba, Ronaldo and Rooney fighting for places. Look at the competition now

No matter who took over Fergie this was going to happen. Everybody knew that when he retired it'll take a few years to get winning again.

I wasn't expecting 9th but getting rid of all the coaching staff has got to be the biggest mistake IMO but it will get better. We just need to get a few wins together and then there'll be no reason we can't fight for 3/4th spot. I don't want to put the blame on to anyone this season but Moyes and the team have got to perform much better next season.

I suppose this only proves more how good Fergie was, he demanded the results.

Probably the biggest game of the season for Arsenal. City are quite simply awesome at home. If they can pull off a victory, it'll be a huge psychological boost for the rest of the season knowing they were victorious in the toughest game of their year.

I'd take a draw tbh.

With City's home form we need a massive performance from everyone. Good to see Theo start. Should pin their defence back a bit.
