You're all laughing but I bet under UK law the farmer has every right to sue to damages to his cow as that is something that earns him money

My laptop earns me money, but I don't think I can sue someone for hitting it with their car if I left it in the middle of the road.

my mate hit a pig on the road a couple years ago. car needed a grill bonnet and a light and the farmer just paid for it to be sorted.
