Recently bought a car i've always wanted. Going to get it mechanically sound first, before I start tinkering, got a few things in mind like dewipering and getting rid of the chrome plate surrounds but I think i need to confirm that the EML light that has come on isn't a sign that the car is actually fucked first!

The missus has an upgrade from her 1 litre yaris to the t-sport. Lets see how long that lasts now! (basically having to scrap hers as every panel had a mark on it, wish I was kidding but i'm not.)

Sound little car to be fair, probably borrow it now and again. Rear does look a bit odd from that angle I agree, looks ok from all others.

Replaced pcv system and half fitted turbo hose kit. Managed to do it myself after about 20 hours of research and 5 visits to vw!

Dewipered boot, not the best picture.

Not onto suspension. Need a new strut on front. I'd like the back a bit lower so looking at coilovers at minute.

Just had 2 passengers and the rears rubbed so the tyres will probably be changing. think they are 225/40/18 currently. Might have to drop to 15mm spacers as well, will have to have a think.

Had a few bits done now, getting it to somewhere near what I'd like. Added mats since that interior picture and also got bora vents and brushed aliminium trim for around the stereo as the cf wrap was just temporary to replace wood trim. recently had it stage 1 remapped and it's so much better 150bhp standard is far too tame for these cars.

I know what you mean but the pictures seem to make it look different than it does in real life, probably the angle of the pictures if anything that emphasis it more.

Fitted bora vents and r32 trim around the stereo. Aldo fitting smaller spacers today on the back to hopefully stop the rubbing when any weight in the car.

Some more new bits, need to get some better pictures of new wheels. Getting to how I want it, would like it lower but its not going to happen as its just not practical unless I went air route but I can't see that ever happening.

Looks awesome on those wheels, a little lower and it would be perfect.

I do like these cars, but too many are black with window times and chrome bbs alloys.
Nothing sets this apart YET, from 90% of other modified Golfs

im not trying to set it apart im just building it to what I like. None of my mates are into cars and i dont go to cruises or shows so im ok with it looking like other modded cars. im glad all the scene kids are moving onto 3dsm wheels etc and away from the look ive always wanted!

Looks great on the new wheels! Think you have room to sensibly come down a little though without issue

Cheers. There are speed bumps everywhere here that i scrap on when ive got a passenger and holes in the yard I drive over where im catching bottom of front bumper. I might raise engine a tad and im fitting slightly bigger tyres but im not going to get it how id like, im not prepared to crawl over them at 1mph.

Don't golfs have issues if they get lowered too much? Something about the wishbones sitting dodgy?

Few odd issues such as standard arb rubs on drive shaft etc. Plenty run them stupidly low static and do chassis notches etc but they must be shit to drive.
