Wiring is finished bar throttle pedal, downloaded the map the other day, imob is removed, just need to load the map back on, and see if the imob clears.

If it does, its then time to see if the engine ECU will communicate to the rest of the Clio stuff (UCH/Clocks), and then start it.. Maybe.

Lacking time and weather though

Sorry Jamie can't help with that.

So, after fucking ages with no progress! I made some today....

Only picture I got, I was shocked I was making progress.

Driveshafts are mocked up, I just need to get them off to the place to get the new ones made up.

ECU is nearly there, had a severe lack of time, but planning to have a go tonight!!

I've also sorted a clutch high pressure line, so thats another job when I get a bit of time. Feels like I can get somewhere now!

I promise, I'll have more soon.

Big update!

Ages ago (January I think!) I pulled the car out, stripped mouldy interior out, and gave a few bits a going over.

Got it to my work (now my old work!)

Got engine out, and back in

Washed it... beefore

After

Fitted up a clutch reservoir

Got these sexy motherfuckers made

Built up a driveshaft

Got both driveshafts in now, heres the to-do list...

Sort out ECU immob issue (getting there now)
Shorten Starter motor feed
Fill gearbox oil
Fit bulkhead heatshield
Wire up reverse switch
Acc pedal wiring
Cruise control wiring
Gear cable heat protection
Fit & wire slimline fan

Once its running.. Exhaust, turbo change (Hybrid!) and a couple of other small bits before MOT!

Good question!

I've got a Trackday I'd like to do in May, so Id like a couple of weeks of shakedown first.

I have to say, I do sorta regret it and wish I just bought a standard Megane or something, but I shall be the only person, in the world with this, I reckon.

Reckon you'll get it ready to run at Combe?

Will be a good starting benchmark as you've taken it round a few times now...

Poss, will probably be a last minute decision though, other trackday is 2weeks later so I do want it done before then, just depends if I fancy ragging it around a track or not.

Well Pow, you got lucky on the day.

Today I actually made some epic progress..

Started by finishing up a couple of coolant pipe clips, and then filled the coolant.. However, I soon had an issue.

I had wanted to change the rad anyway as I thought it was shit, Luckily I'm breaking a 182 with a good rad.

But then onto the bigger progress...

Clicky (Speakers required!)

So yeah, it runs at last lol.

Next up is sorting the clutch as its got a bit of air in it, followed by exhaust and few other bits.

Quite damn happy though!

So I fixed the clutch, and two coolant leaks, and then I took it for a drive!!!!!!

Did about mile & half, got up to 50mph, and experienced 6th gear.
Its epic, but theres a seriously long list still to be done.

Picture-less update, but finally getting there.

Now I just need to borrow some wheels, make an exhaust downpipe/system, sort out the throttle pedal, setup the boost, and MOT it!

Going to try and get it done for a meet in two weeks, Might happen!

So after I got it running, I got it driving, and from there, I made the exhaust.

Starting with the turbo flange, I kept this because I plan to change the turbo, so don't want to fuck about with a flange, when I will have to re-do it in a couple of months.

Got a couple of 45s on that, with a V-band

Added a flexi and then about a meter and half of straight

Looks good to me

Unfortunately thats where the pictures stopped, I've now done the bit over the rear beam, and towards the rear.

Just gotta get it tigged up then, and its MOT time.

Excited now!

Couple of pics of the rear bit of the exhaust

Its all been welded up since pics, its epic.

Had a little mishap as I moved the car Saturday, drove it backwards no issue, went to go forwards and had no drive. Driveshaft had come out of the outer CV, turned out to be this clip on the driveshaft, obviously broke at some point and wasn't picked up on.

Then yesterday it went off for a MOT, passed with flying colours! Taxed it and got some mileage on it.

Needs more boost/power/torque but its alright atm, will do a few more miles before I worry about that lot.

Next up, New turbo, map and moar boost!
