Every car i've sold i've made them sign a sold as seen. Makes things easier, if anything was to go wrong. Did you or your mother sign anything to agree to this 28 day thing? If not tell them to fuck off if they're to call back. You're not a trader, so you'll be fine, they won't have a leg to stand on.

Probably all be fine anyway mate.

Say that the Old Queen never agreed to the 28 day warrenty, and if he comes back the Old King and the Jester will sort him out.

Writing "sold as seen" makes absolutely no bit of difference at all. If you are a private individual, then you are not obliged to offer any warrantee. If you are a trader, you simply cannot sell a car sold as seen, the only way out of it would be to sell it on a "trade" only basis and that would exempt you from any comeback

I feel making the buyer sign the acknowledgement of the fact they've bought the car as it is, would get in their head not to come back, as it was bought as seen. Rather than a legal document etc. Plus easier to get rid of them if they come pestering.

Agreed, all about planting the seed. Even do it at work, legally any decent lawyer would rip the documents we have customers sign apart but its all about the message it sends.
