Not entirely sure why i have to justify it to you or anyone

But for the record, her utter disdain and contempt for football fans is where my hatred for her stems. The image she portrayed of us made us all look like criminals, and thats how she wanted us to be treated.

Theres also the fact that coming from a mining town, her name is dirt round here, but, seeing as i was only a bairn in those days and the fact none of my families were miners im not going to fake outrage for that, although i do know a lot of people whose families and livelihoods were destroyed during her reign and understand their stance and they should be allowed to express their feelings about her death.

Anyone who is a friend of Douglas Craig can rot in hell for all i care too.

Not here for a political debate though, i hate her, you dont. Thats life.

You don't know my position on her.

I'm just making the point that a lot of people who are going out and having a party don't really know what is going on.

He didn't wish her dead over football. Just said he was happy she has passed now.

The football thing is pretty big though, she demonized and vilified a massive group of people because of the actions of few, and people under her government made up evidence relating to footballing incidents to further back up the lie. if it was done against a religion or race there would of been uproar

That image has stuck with English football for 30 odd years now. I am aware that there was hooliganism around and fans didn't help themselves entirely but that was a small minority.

Its not wanting someone dead "over football" thats simplifying it too much and making it sound like i hated her because she supported a different team to me or something.

Dom isnt a football fan though, so its not fair for me to expect him to know about why people are so passionate and protective over it. Its not just about a game or a team, its a community, its your friends and family.

And if someone tried to fuck over and kill your family, you'd hate them too.

For the record, Im not about to throw a party in the street here. My hate for her pales in comparison compared to say someone like Douglas Craig. But im not sad in anyway shes gone, it raised a little smile. Im glad a lot of people will finally get some closure over all the pain she caused them though.

Basically, the government owned and ran all the mines. It was losing masive amounts of money (billions a year) as it was cheaper to import. Uk businesses could access imported coal cheaper so didn't renew contracts with uk govenment.

As any CEO in a bankrupt business would do, she closed it. Pissed off the people who worked there who wanted a communist style life.

Mines closed, people/families lost jobs and livelihoods. However the mines weren't sustainable.
