Got a c20let water cooled turbo need one pipe from turbo to header tank but my mate seems to think hes a turbo god of some sort but hes saying i can block off the 2 turbo water pipes off and run it without water and it wont smoke is this true ?

Tell him to be quiet!!! I dare you to run it with no water cooling and see how long it lasts and how hot it gets. If you give it a good caning you can get it glowing with it being water cooled let alone without.

You get some that aren't water cooled but if it has the pipes I'd connect it up.

Feed from small rad pipe return from turbo back to header tank.

Alot of non ball bearing style turbos will be absolutely fine with out water cooling,

So maybe you should quiten down.

But it's easy to fit, fit it.

Oh im so sorry sir. I thought as its a standard c20let turbo WITH the inlet/outlet for water pipes it would NEED to run it so to be told not to is a bit stupid. Or not so your saying

Tbh it's better to run it then not run it, and it's so easy to pipe up on the c20let,
And the turbos are fragile enough as it is lol.

With the amount of heat in a turbo unit it needs to be water cooled too or you will be turning the oil passing though it to carbon almost,anyway less heat in there=more power.

if its a ball bearing turbo water pipes must b connected if not u could get away with it but if water ways id personaly connect them to be safe
