Theres some where I ride. I've bottled them twice now.

They are made of sleepers and probs not even that bad but i'm a fanny.

There was a few bits on Sat that i would say was more of a case of I wouldnt do them as opposed to couldnt. Once I manned up and did one of those sections I was smashing it and getting faster on each small circuit.

The real steep down hill stuff and drops I was just being a fanny as you say but I will nail them once I am more used to the bike. Only done 30 miles on the mountain bike.

Yeah, recovery drink might be an idea.

It will get easier though, as your body gets used to it and becomes fitter.

Yeah, as you say its getting used to the bike. Its a case of making yourself do it once, then you think, why was I so worried. I've not ridden mine enough yet.

Also, have you tried tabs in yor water before and during commute?

I use these for the gym/bike. I have some on way and then during. Makes a big difference imo,

Wouldn't want to drop one of them.

Looooong way down. Wonder how they would handle steps?

I have lost any technical skills I once had on a bike. Had some problems doing some of the steps at Cannock

So when would people like to meet up at Cannock? Mid March?

The brakes are squeeking/sticking on on my cheap halfords bike. What's the likely causes? Its nearly new the bike although I have left it outside.

Sounds like a plan. I'm in.

Another option is if people are travelling a fair way we could overnight somewhere cheap and have a few beers etc.

The problem is the bike is from halfords!! Nothing is built correct and not tightened. Take it to a real bike show. (Also im not taking the piss) i know 3 bikes that came from halfords and pedels fell off 1 wheel buckled on the other cuz wasnt tightened and 3rd gears never worked all £800+ bikes so relentively cheap

Proper nice hard hitting hardtail.

If you like that, check out the latest Saracen Zen X. 650b wheeled hardtail with dropper post for about £1250 iirc.
