No worries Do you mean the 620 Ti? Rover never made a 600 vitesse. And 800 Vitesse is easy to beat. it has cams that limit it to 180bhp std.

Cool They're 180 bhp too. I still don't understand why rover did that, and then put the 200bhp lump into a car that weighs 1 ton when the engine's in!! MAdness!! lol

please explain how cams limit power. if it is a turbo then boost, fueling and inlet temps really limit power.

if you have performance cams in a car, you increase the power right? well what happens if you go the other way? You decrease power. its based on valve lift timing, you will get better fuel economy from the 620 T and the 820 T, but the 420 and the 220 T are build for power. No matter how much air you push into the cylinders, you're not going to get any better till you fine tune the timing. Fueling is all the same. in the end on all rover turbo models, the fuel pressure stays the same as it circulates in the fuel rail.
Hope that clears it up.

well no. the cams do not limit power in that sense. that would happen in in extream cases. we are talking road cars here not rally or racing cars. the limiting factor in that engine is the boost, fueling and inlet temp

yeah me and rolled one they are very sketchy i know of at least 4 people that have had serious accidents in a clio 16v very heavy front end and a very light rear end so watch it on corners but i do agree they are a very quick car as to watch out if the clutch goes your looking at over £500 to have it changed you cant get to the clutch from under neath so engine has to come out so lots of labour charges there dont get one thats my oppinion

they are deffo not 140 as standard - i went to the cliosport.net's rolling road day at bb tuning - my pals one was 137bhp (exactly standard) even tho he has a k&n and a de-cat pipe - hmmm, apparently its coz the k&n actually looses them power - the de-cat just gets back the lost power - hence no gain, strange but oh well.

here's some pics:

What you done to your corsa then? Kicked their arse? - I find that hard to believe I'm afraid unless you have done a fair few mods and I don't mean a MaxPower neon kit and sunstrip
