I'm thinking that too.

Is it entirely a public vote?

You can never put your faith in the British public but if its not Wiggins its a fucking joke... won probably the most difficult sporting challenge in the world convincingly, won a gold medal at the olympics when (at the time) other supposed favourites were falling short and also IIRC became the most highly decorated British Olympian of all time in the process

As Walby said, IIRC he also won some other cycling events in the year too

In any other year Farah, Ennis and Ainslie would all pick up the gong but this year is different

Not only that he's a funny bloke and can have good banter, even in French.

Wiggins teases reporter

Cycling isn't really sport to me, as your on a bike. I think what jess ennis did was far more of an achievement

Far more of an achievement than doing something nobody has ever done before?

Odds on Ennis have dropped from 9/1 to 4/1 in the last hour.

I think she'll win it with it being a public vote, she'll get all the women voting for her, and horny blokes.

Wiggins SHOULD with his achievements though

Wouldn't be that much of a tragedy if Ennis won it. There was so much pressure on her with pretty much being the face of the games but still destroyed the field in a most un-British fashion.

Money's still on Wiggins for me though, the gold on top should give him the edge with voters.

In any other year, Ainslie, Ennis and Farah would and should win - but this year there is no option but Wiggo. Ennis will win though IMO
