Rung up gaz to book in my corsa front shocks to be rebuilt and just got told about prices that they decide when done ?? Don't sound right was a woman on phone who sounded like they don't have a clue! Who should I ask for to get a price ? Cheers

I guess it means they will strip them down, decide what needs replacing then quote you from there.

I know what needs doing just new seals and inserts really but last time they gave me a price and that was that as I'd like to know what its going to cost! Dunno why they are now being awkward

its a bit difficult to say for certain prices for what needs replacing/done over the phone without the actual item there for them to examine though. i dont see how that is being akward really.

Just make it clear you don't want any work done until they've stripped them And done a quote

once they have looked at them they call you and give you a price for what needs doing

Have you tried asking for a price for replacement seals and inserts just to give you an idea??

my bill was 175 posted

both front rods and all seals changed, rear seals changed

new bushes made up, new bump stops and new adjusters

thats a mk4 astra 3 weeks ago

Similar story when i emailed them they said to post the coilovers to them then they would inspect them and give a price after seeing them.

just got through to a bloke called mark really helpful going over tomorrow morning to drop them of very reasonably priced considering these shocks are the ducks guts!

cheers for replys guys and joey i will call you tomorrow hopefully about those brakes
