As the title says.......

How - Travelling to work on the back roads, chucking down, didnt see the corner & was going too fast, Ended up skidding into my side kurb, bouncing of that, spinning in a circle across the otherside of the road, into that kurb, over the kurb into the bush. So lucky it was half 4 in the morning and not a normal hour where more people would of been on the road otherwise id of killed me and the person coming towards me! Also shocked how once hitting the kurb at around 40/50mph, it somehow didnt flip & roll

Damage - Front Bumper Ripped off & Opel Grill snapped ! The Yellow thing has also popped up on the passengers seat belt (What does this mean ), slight crack in o/s headlight & a VERY VERY muddy car!
Some how that was the only damage

Outcome - Lesson learnt!

None of the bearings buckled on wheels or owt mate? When I hit curb in my bros that was the most damage I did. Had to replace it as it had just bent it from impact.

I've learnt my lesson too and that was in a 1.2. I drive a 2.0 now.

Pretensions are supposed to hold you against the seat when you crash, apparently only Vauxhall can replace and re-set them (according to the manual)

Glad you're alright mate, as said it could have been much worse

A bumper, grill and a lesson learnt isn't a tough price imo

Sounds like you got off lightly. I've had a similar accident, braked hard, skidded into big electrical box, hit kurb, went into spin, spun a few times, knocked a post out the ground.

Just be grateful you're alive and your car damage is minimal and drive with more caution in the future

Btw, you say you hit the wheel, I'd be checking out the hub and such for any possible damage, it may have bent something

There's no way u can do all above and do no damage to arms at least. Sometimes pre tensioners don't go off it depends on what crash sensors are activated.

Well after a morning of working on the car, it is now all fixed

also had it up on the ramps and checked over by a garage, NOOO damage at all somehow also been told the seat belt tensioner going off is now not an MOT Fail and still 100% safe so im in no rush to change that - so im a happy boy!

also got my plates replaced & went for pressed plates

soo fully fixed now at a cost of............................... £1.38
