Got all this in yesterday. Thoughts so far?? Hit 142.9db last year with my first ever go. Im hopin for 145db this year with much improved mid range and high pitch sound quality.

Measuring cable points

Stripped down to sound deadening

Cables in

False floor back in with cables pulled through.

Sub box in and bolted down

Subs in box

Amp raised by small bits of wood to allow sub port air (lots gets moved!!) underneath and over the top of the amp to keep it cool under harsh load.

Componets to fit down side of sub box.

2nites plan is to get the component amp in and the rear components wired up and attached to the side of the sub box. Then cabling in to the front components.

Its a great feeling of achievement isnt it Daimo, when you do it yourself!!! What size are the Vega's?
I'm gonna be redesigning my boot install soon for a more curved effect and I've bee recommended by RAM to go for JL 10" subs. I've never been happy with the bass in my 10" Vega's. Even with a Rockford PA2. Not sharp enough for me. I've heard better in other installs.
Have you gone for Vega out of personal choice??
Looks cool chuck. Get the components in and put the finished product on

daimo- have you mounted all that ice so near the boot so that it can be hidden away by a back shelf- or is there something else going where the back seats would have been- Its just that i want to strip out my car soon but would like to still be able to conseal a sub and amp in the back

Thanks for the comments so far

They are 15" Cerwin Vega 154s. Claire, nahhhhhh these things absolutly bloody rock. They were in before, a few people off here have heard them. They are VERY loud. I dont have any rear seats, nooooooooooo room whatsoever. That Box takes up 70% of the floor space.

Last nights progress

Rear comps are in as is the component amp. Had big problems with the cabling. Spent most of the evening playing find the problem. Worked it out to be a sh1tty bit of power cable thats been in place for ages but never used. Think its a bit knackard. Gonna take the battery out and re-run new cabling through 2nite and get the component speaker cable (fronts) in.

Front comps are going in the original door pods until i the car goes off the road again in a month or so's time when a nice Mr Grigglett33 is gonna make me up some fancy speaker pods

Lots more to do yet! And aye, i've done it all myself.

Might be a problem with the size of my enclosures then chuck. Its not the volume tho that I'm not happy with, its the quality of bass. Hard to discribe unless mines running at the side of one that I prefer the bass in.
Are the door pods beyond you luv Surely you can put your hand to those too. If I can do it......
