I want to refurb my brembos on my megane 225, rather than letting all the brake fluid out I thought of sealing off a bit of hose and sticking the brake line into it, just not sure what size the hole is where the brake line bolts in? Ideally don't want to clamp the existing lines as don't fancy damaging them

i would just drain it all tbh, better to bleed the old stuff out when you bleed with new fluid anyways

ps a turkey baster is perfect for sucking all the fluid out the resevoir

I only replaced it all a few months ago and apparently the megane is a pig to bleed if you let it run dry

I've got to do the Alcons on my Astra at some point too and I'm to tight to send them off. Going to attempt to do them still attached to the braided lines and find away of setting up a mini spray booth in my arch.

Blank the pipes coming from the abs unit if it's got braided lines if not just clamp the flexi it won't hurt it

just get something to hold brake pedal down ie piece of wood , wont leak then this is the way i do it in work day in day out

Just do them on the car. Done my LCR and Evo Brembo's in situe with a mini spray booth (as smgGSI16v said) and they turned out spot on

Yep I always do that at work, open a bleed nipple, pedal to the floor, job done. You may get a couple of drips but virtually nothing comes out. Rubber flex hoses are ok to clamp too. I also have some short bits off copper pipe that are clamped off at the ends so they can be booted on to stop drips.

I use a breaker bar against the base of the drivers seat, and slide it forward till the pedal is to the floor. Works a treat.

Does the ignition need to be on while u do it as the pedal is usually hard to depress with ign off ?
