Upgrade is due next week, had a text of carphone warehouse and looks like phones4u can also handle it. I've seen a really good iphone 4s offer (with o2) through Tesco (free phone, unlimited mins, unlimited texts, 1gb of data, 24 month for £36) which is at least £6 better than I've seen direct with o2 or with carphonewarehouse/phones4u, can I upgrade through Tesco or will it mean cancelling o2 contract and starting again?

Tesco do 12 month contracts, i'd personally do it with them if I was in your boat. Due to the fact that 24 month contracts are too long, and are always knocking prices down.

I think they've stopped the 12 month deals now Do you know if I can upgrade through Tesco or are they slightly different to the others?

I thought you could only upgrade who you started the deal with originally, or just directly to your provider. Might be wrong though

p4u and cpw will upgrade anyone. unsure about tesco, and they only did 12 monthers on their own network, not o2

Tesco wouldn't be an upgrade, Tesco would be a new contract.

Do prices drop on the iphone? Always thought they were fixed prices until they release a new phone

They have better offers now than they did when they were released if that's what you mean. Just seen now CPW are offering unlimited calls and texts and 1gb data for £36 per month on o2 (handset free). I may just pop in there on wednesday and see if they can do that on upgrade as that's exactly what i'm after.

Just did it with CPW, £36 per month unlimited calls, and texts, 1gb of data, 24 month contract handset was £60 but they've took my old phone for £51. All good, thanks for your help.
