There's a reason the XE's are popular

Will be nice to see something different. 1.4 8v or 16v?

Is there a reason it is 1.4? as 1.6 is still small block and would already have the upper hand a bit?

Gotta be the 16v lad

The reason why I want a 1.4 is cause I thought putting a 1.6 in u'll have to stiffin the shell up cause of the power but by the sounds of what your sayin the both engines are the same....

Can u explain to me what the hassels are of droppinf a 1.4 or 1.f into a 1.2 shell are,if any....

Cheers

1.4 and 1.6 are mount the same. I'm not sure about mounting it as I've never looked in to anything but the 2.0l's

The shell wouldn't need to be stiffer seeing as the 1.6 came in a corsa originally. You'd need shafts, engine loom, ECU engine gearbox - the usual conversion stuff

If you need to know more put a thread up in the help section as I'm not overly sure exactly what you need as I've never looked in to doing it

Good choice IMO, I was going to do the same untill I realised I have no time to do an engine change and the shell wasn't the cleanest anyway .

I Have a 1.4 16v engine for sale with everything you need if your interested, need it out my shed lol!

Well its something different like.as I said there's to many redtops about lol

I collect total vauxhall mags and there was a lad with a 1.6 nova and the stuff he done to it was outta this world.think she was running like 200 bhp maybe a tad less not sure but I just wana go along them lines and do it it to a small block.she's a clean shell so I might aswell make something out of it instead of selling it on and it being thrashed

I would like to take the engine of your hands but I'm from northern ireland lol
