My Grandad was a jockey, rode Bell of Kintare in some point to point races, was quite highly regarded in those circles

I'm not sure with it being each-way betting (ladbrokes don't make this to clear) however it was a .50p e/w so wouldn't have been enough for me to leave the country I don't think.

thats a gutter mate... you could have had Grands Crus as a BANKER for top 3 spots.

thats gotta hurt! Grands Crus lost me 1K winnings, but I'm sure there's loads of people who have lost out cause of him

Day 3 is a new day! :-)

straight winning would have netted me something like 10k haha, but even at .50p - I still want to give myself some chance!

Pick a horse which you think is going to finish first, and then any number of horses to finish second. For instances, with a banker horse a, and with three additional horses, the bets are a-b, a-c, a-d.

Gaz

I will work out what your accumulator would have paid, and maybe give you some advice

Ladbrokes whilst being the biggest bookie in the country arent great with offers.

It's of no benefit to you now but 3 bookmakers paid first 4 places in the last race, Paddypower, Victor Chandler and i think bet365 did as well.

IMO it owuld be worth you opening an account with them, they have good offers on as well, and if you have a few quid to spare i will talk you through a bet to make you some money using free bets

That would have done me strick! haha

I've just always stuck with Ladbrokes as it was the one I opened up years and years ago. i'm not in it to exploit free bets to be fair however a money making tip that isn't going to cost me the world (I have a baby on the way) is always welcomed.

I've heard of PP and Bet365 but not VC (or is that the one that Paddy Mcguiness advertises??)

14:40 Bob's Worth e/w 4/1 - Cheltenham form, i like grand crus but cant back him at 7/4, backing this one each way as hopefully should place at least

15:20 Can't see past sizing europe, he looks to be the best by a long way in this one, finians rainbow maybe each way, but i wont be betting in this one

160 - Spirit River e/w 20/1

16:40 - Kazlian e/w 9/1

17:15 - Royal Guardsman e/w 8/1

[Edited on 13-03-2012 by strick206]

A very annoying day really

Lively Baron went off 16/1 and just didnt stay

Cotton Mill refused at the second last when cruising, would have at least placed

Bobs Worth won

Finins Rainbow won (i wasnt going to bet it but i did after bobs worth won)

Spirit River fell at the last i think when clearly going to come 3rd

Kazlian placed fourth

Royal Guardsman ran well but dropped well off at the end of the race.

I dont think my luck is in tbh

TBH Bet365 are probably the best, they do the best free bet offer, (although probably not one youd be interested in) but they always tend to be the best price at big meetings

PP are good too, and VC seem to be taking on bet365 lately with offers and prices, yeah thats the one paddy mcguiness advertises

I'd open an account with paddypower or bet365, even without the free bet they are better than ladbrokes
