I got mine for the mini from that brake depot off eBay. Turned out alright and over half the price of everyone else.
Had yellow stuff before they're not bad but not the best.

Yeah thats were im getting them from , there only £90 , set of Tarox ones (wich i wanted) were like £209 just for discs . Aint paying that at the minute .

Hmm might be worth replacing the pads then , they do a set on there , same discs with green stuff pads and there £139.99 i think!! Might just change the lot while there off

I was always under the impression that Yellowstuff pads were designed for track use and aren't the best for a daily driven car.

Could be wrong though. I run Ferodo pads on my Hi-Spec's and I can't fault them at all!

I use Yellowstuff on my Vectra - they are fine, and would be more suitable when you LET it...

I am! Been on here for ages but don't really post very often.

Hi-Spec's are awesome brakes but probably not worth the upgrade from 308mm brakes. Most people running Zlet engines fit 308mm brakes so you know they're up to the job! I would just fit them and try them, if you find the pads to be on the rubbish side you can always just get new ones like you say.

Oyeah, fine for daily use. Work well from cold too - haven't noticed them being any better on Track than Road - performance is pretty much the same IMO.

Mine have been on for over a year, have just started to squeal somtimes, so time to regrease or replace.

im using mintex 1144 pads on genuine gm plain 308's on my corsa c z22se had them on the vectra before and they are great! pulled up 1.8ton of vectra a treat! much better than ebc pads. not cheep though, £130 for the pads and £90 for the discs.

Mintex 1144's would probably be your best bet.

I use carbon lorraine c5+ but they were over £350 for all corners. If you can afford them then they are the ones you want.
