This set has a few bad reviews on the Lego site. Motor not beefy enough and gears not up to the job. Will be interesting to see weather they were just the idiots.
Where did you order it from?

From ebay Germany.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251395748141?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I'm not too fussed about how much it can lift however I did replace the clutch with a normal 24t gear as most of the problems about it not lifting much were down to the clutch gear slipping.

Some pics from tonight

Started off with the out riggers

Mounted on the main frame

Had to make 2x of those motorised out riggers units

How it stands currently

Todays progress

Something new for me here, a v8 bottom end

Mounted in the block

Then onto the chassis

Loads of wheels and tyres fitted and balanced

How it looks at the moment with most of the cabin done too

It already looks really big and cool

Started on the crane unit, lots of gears in this bit

Pulleys and the cable, you can see here how i replaced the white clutch gear with a normal 24t gear, this will increase its lifting power

Connected on the main body

Last job was to make the extending boom, and its all done!

Extends out really high

Really like this one, probably my favourite so far, and lifts well with the clutch removal mod

That looks huge

I like these Lego projects, looks really neat in that glass cabinet. Wouldn't mind doing something similar for myself.

Cheap Technics doesn't exist when you are talking about the "expert" ones that will keep an adult amused.

The Le Mans LMP1 car is around £88 on Amazon??

I've just ordered one!

Love the idea of doing this, just wouldn't know what to do with it when it's done.

Don't like the idea of displaying them, so would just look at it getting dusty and thinking how my it cost me

Some pre images of 2016 2H kits

Stickers on the porsche are for the display model only

Then the biggest kit of them all (and ever so far) 3900 pieces - bucket wheel excavator

And this Claas xerion tractor

Really like the look tractor, but its a mid range model meaning not a massive part count (1900 or so), and nothing revolutionary technic wise.

Like the bucket wheel excavator but am not totally sold on it, massive part count, some cool technic moving parts and massive

Porsche looks cool, talk of it being totally RC

Do,the ages on the boxes not give away that these kits are designed for kids? Not grown adults still living at mommy and daddy's house!

What would impress me is designing and building your own model. Then send it to lego. You need to totally own all the people just assembling the same thing.

I wanted to do a corrado one.
