hi, just wondering whats the average mpg with a 1.2 8v 3-door?
Or how many miles do you get out of £20? As i put £20 in last sunday and i havent done that many miles and its almost on the red (and thats was with normal driving, open roads, town and a wee bit of harder driving)

I got 1.2 8V get 330 out of full tank if you push it to the very end-this when I filled up took 46ltrs so real end of tank. Bout 38mpg when I work it out normally for fuel expenses.

I was getting pretty shit figures about 280 to a tank even when driving it easy but it was all short trips thru town. For the past few days now I have been hammering it. Do these engines generally get slower with age? I could get up to 90 easily enough on this part of road near me but it is a struggle to even get 85 now and that is goin further on the road.

used to get around 300 to £10
Normally around 38 mpg not the best but the 1.2 8v is not that economical

Sound engine though so much better than a 1.0 12v

Did 80,000 in mine with no problems at all

They probably get faster until they're run in and everything is sitting nicely then slower when everything wears out

Pretty sure they are officially meant to do about 46, but becuase they need driving quite hard even in every day use, I found mine didnt do hugely well - about £35 filled the tank, and I used to get about 220 - 250 miles from that.

proberly because u dont have to put your foot down as much to get it to move.

Thats why N/A Desiels are crap round town, cause u have to floor them to get them go anywhere. that is what is like with my 1.7D corsa van anyway. But on the m/way

I used to get roughly 200 miles to £20

but now it seems to cost more than just the ris ein price of petrol

ish. £38 fills the tank up fully. It is more responsive than the 8v thus u dont have to drive it as hard, but if u give it a bit of stick anywhere above 65 ish, it does get in a bit of a strop. Average atm is about 275 to a full tank, driven fairly hard from time to time. I will actually try to do a tank full driving normally one day and see if it is any better. This TwinPort thing is supposed to help economy apparently
