Im sure halfords just bought out my local other brand garage, who had a good rep, and still use the original staff as they were good. Not seen their prices, guessing they are above average, but Joe "not a care about cars" Blogs happily pay their prices all day long as they trust them as a recognised national brand with adverts on the tv, which is usually who they expect to buy from them. Plus with cars getting longer "warranties" it means they are tied into main dealers for longer, or all their lives in some cases
