165 in a bentley- mate works for them gets to test the cars out now and again, felt really smooth and quiet in such a big car. Scary though when you fly past other cars at that speed.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
My old Corsa cost £58OOO less than the RS6 and is only slightly slower!

0-60mph 4.97 sec and 147.9mph (datron timed) in the old Corsa and 150ish mph (its hard to focus on a tiny speedo with your head getting buffeted about at that speed) on a Gsx R 750 many years ago.

High speed stability on an unspoilered Corsa's aint good!
Moving 10ft left and right at 140+mph aint fun but it focuses the mind

No its not, its the other things that come into play whilst your at high speed. IE, You killed that Child doing 40 in a 30! Not why the fuck was the child in the road, you couldn't have stopped whether you were doing 30 or 40!

Anyway, I've had 116 on my digi dash, but my speedo reads slow, at a recent rr day they took it up to the limiter in 4th, which was 104mph, if I hit the limiter in 4th the speedo reads 96! Everyone elses cars read that there speedo shows faster than they are going, not mine!
So that 116 was probably a genuine 125mph, where everyone else who reads about 140 is really only doing 125-130....

Fastest acceleration I've ever expirienced was in a phase 4 mk2 astra turbo! Fucking immense! Pins you to your seat, like a fair ride!

160mph a few times in my old Cav. It felt so stable at that speed it was easy to do it. My Veccy should be able to do 156mph according to Vauxhall, but over 140 it doesn't feel so good!

130 in a bently arnarge t. mate at work had 1 for the weekend to test the windscreen wipers for flapping at high speed, so was a good reason for him to go fast, reach that speed very very quick.
