your thinking tof bangers,
stock cars actually have very powerful engines, and alot of thought goes into the body design for aerodynamics and getting as much power out of the engine as possible

although super bangers are good fun to watch aswell look like proper shitters with fucked bodywork and random bits of metal...

until they fire up the engine and you here a burbly v8 which just sounds monstrous! they do some serious drifts as they come on track!

no, theres, bangers which is just a scrap car sent to its death and they all crash into each other
super bangers are like big v8's shitter of a car but dont crash, they just race
stock cars again v8's/pinto engines etc, don't crash have aerodynamic bodies and sponsors etc and just race
then theres the mini stocks, old mini's driven by youngsters (some even as young as 10)
and then super mini's, again old minis but with the bigger engines driven by over 16/17 (can't remember precisely)

wey this ones got a cammed pinto lump going in, the shell/frame/cage that the engine was in before hit a bit of a bump and is bent to fcuk lol.
looking at the work/money that goes into them is crazy though.
quite an interesting sport that id never heard much about before now

...and the fella who has the garage's kid is only 11 and cant wait to get behind the wheel bless him

my mate races a corsa stock car, its got a 1.3 8v nova engine in it.

I never realised the amount of work that goes into them either, basically the floor is all cut out his and its all spaceframed, didnt cost him very much to build his. Trying to source the nova engines was the hardest bit

I'l try ang get some pictures of it the next time im at his garage

1300cc stock cars:

2000cc Stock cars:

2000cc Hot Rods:

National Hot Rods:

Superstocks:

I watch them Quite often, Some leagues are stricter than others, The National Hot Rods are immense, The are Space framed badies. with C20XE's all have to have the same tyres, suspension, engine, tuning, etc. Its the fine tuning and driver skill that wins you the race for these.

I have always wanted to do the 2000cc stock cars but i dont get the time at the moment.
