Fee's donkeykong out takes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1MILJ1ZK3Q

I can only laugh....

This is the car last sat (9days ago)... http://youtu.be/6r9vWl8qXvw?t=6m26s we took it to RB on Fri (just passed) to get a few things checked and ended up with a turd again back to square one

Spent most of today redoing things, changing spring rates again - OS Giken diff is getting taken out - its the only thing left that we havent replaced.

Here is Fee's 2nd quickest lap of the day (camera died midway through the fastest) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq1jRfalsR8

i think that car isnt suited to tight corners, or the track isnt suited to big cars,

my corsa was a weapon round there.

I would say, obviously it looks like you have far too much grip on the rear. Since it's at low speed, I would ignore things like the downforce. Assuming your car has been corner weighted and balanced nicely, I would actually be thinking geo / tyres.

That said, you could also be on to something with that diff, if the rear is not working properly, then it will not be letting it release and trying to make the wheels drive constantly straight.

Paul - that is my exact thinking on the dif.

The rear axle is just locking under any torque (agressive ramp angle) and tring to push the rear straight with both wheels like a solid shaft.

Understeer till the rear breaks loose then its just slide out. Its quite a controllable slide but just NOT RIGHT.

Geo was also all over the place

Chris - no vids of you passing Fee

that just sounds like one of those situations where you just want to press the "reset to default" button and start again.

it doesnt sound like its a geo problem (no doubt it wont be correct i done by eye) but more like that of the diff, put the standard one back in i say and then get a standard geo and start from scratch.

i only passed because i was let through, no way would i of passed her otherwise

We will still use RB for engines/gearboxes etc.

We wont be down there for work on the car.

We paid 4.5hrs labour (250+) to get 4 corners raised.. i'm going to stop there... i'm getting angry and will just start ranting about the other stuff.

I basically spent yesterday undoing what they did.

They raised the susp, increased the spring preload (so the car was a jittery tractor boucing along the track). Gave us too much tow in (but actually did it in/out on 1 axle). Didnt set ride heights level etc. moan moan moan.

My main problem is this is all shit i can do and normally do.

I just wish we (I) had stuck to my guns earlier in the year and popped the OE diff back in when I first had the idea. We have been talked out of it by so many experts!

Still - if the diff doesnt change a thing i'll still be happy knowing that we tried it.

Fucking expensive year with only 3 trophies so far

Christ, we'd corner weight your car and raise ride height on f1 equipment. Plus alignment for £280
