I aint got a deisel, and wouldn't want one cos of the niose and smoke, but i believe they are very tuneable at low costs compared to petrol engines.

I think a VERY large and VERY large induction kit might be able to drown out the van note of the engine

Torque is very good, so once it gets going it'll be quite good, but performance wise my Dad's Corsa C Sxi 1.7Dti driving school car is about the same as my 1.2 Corsa C Sxi, the deisel just feels faster, i dont like them much anyway

as rollin said, mine eats 1.4 sports, and totally sh1ts on sri's.

that cost me the grand total of 15 quid on engine mods.
loads of people on here and migweb tuine up the td's, they are a lot more tunable than most people think and its very cheap to do too

doesnt sound very much like a standard diesel anymore. if you want more info send me a u2u

if its a non turbo then dont bother, its like trying to do up a 1.0 or 1.2 8v, they are never gonna be fast.

Ahhh, but i remember Gav's 1.5 D, with Turbo Wasn't very fast though.

Im not sure how a 1.5td can thrash a 16v though? Even a new AstraVan 1.7td only just edged away from D4. I was still well supprised though.

gav didn't have the boost turned up on his due to the fuel pump not being pressure regulated. so it was running the same as a std 1.5td
