I've been doing that 100 push up thing for a few days now and I'm on week 2 day 1. Just tried to do the first set of 9 but had to stop on 6 as I had a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It was like a stabbing pain about 3 inches below my belly button and just to the right. Had a break for a few mins and tried again but got the same pain after just 3. Obviously I decided to stop before I do myself some damage. It didn't feel like a muscular thing as it was just to 1 side.

Old man reckons it sounds like a hernia. Fucking brilliant. I know a few of you have had or still have a hernia so what do you reckon?

hernia or as jake said, appendix, but if your appendix burst, you'd probably be dying about now.

Might just have twinged something, sometimes I get an odd pain around that area when I use the ab machine at the gym, don't get it any other time. Is there anything else that triggers the pain like raising your knee and moving it outward etc?

I do 70-80 press ups in my routine (in 4 sets) and I always get a little twinge in that area by the final set. I think it's just an area that you work hard, if it persists after a few days rest go and see a doctor.
