Hi, does anyone know if there is a website site or anything where you can check the 3 letter vag engine codes off the cars reg?

Don't think you can from reg. There's a bin one somewhere I think or its on a sticker in the boot.

on the data sticker, usally on left hand side of boot floor under the carpet, sticker is also reproduced on inside cover of service book
