I've just bought one.
2000 on a W
Dark Green
68k Genuine Miles
History etc with New Clutch Just Fitted
Drives superb and goes really well.
What do people think of these? First time I've driven one, handles like my old fiesta but goes like a rocket

I thought they were meant to handle like they are on rails? Only from what i've heard but never been in/driven one. Come to think of it i haven't even seen one that is being given the 'beans'

I meant handles like my old fiesta as a good thing that went round corners like a go kart!
What's the deal with 1st gear, there's nothing there but i'm sure i've read that that's normal.

Thought so
I won't grumble for £300.
Taxed End Sept, MOT April 2012
I'll get some fun out of it, tax it then move it on probably.

Possibly the best chassis ever designed, imo.

the 1.7 has VCT and 125ps. It's pretty nippy!
If Ford had put that engine (or the racing puma engine) in the mk5 Fiesta then they'd of easily have made one of the best superminis of all time. Although, in my opinion they did that using the 1.6 sigma anyway.

They do handle well but I cant see why you rave about them so much. Plenty of other stuff I'd rather drive

You won't realise how much you'll miss it until it's gone. A bit like people

I guess that depends on what you're used to driving. The fastest car I've ever owned was a 160bhp xe corsa so to me, this is pretty quick.

Well i meant for a 1.7 really.... Just like you drive some 2.0 that are just dog slow. Well i think for the money they seem to be good cars as standard though. And mwg you could say that about anything really (not disagreeing though).
