its beacuse its shit if you end up buying mine you will see what a decent one drives like, should drive same as any car with a cable clutch, clutch arms probs bent to fuck on it and cables snagged and wrapped round all sorts from when they chucked the engine in on a driveway, plus the price he paid for it reflects the general quality of it tbh

Theres nothing wrong with driveway conversions, and the price doesn't reflect anything, how can you say that without seeing the conversion/car?

Could have a uprated pressure plate in the clutch.
It's the only reason I can think of why, mine is no heavier than my standard Corsa.
Also nothing wrong with driveway conversions.

didnt say there was iv done many on my driveway but some are done properly some arent, if he said he paid 1300 but he would struggle to give 900 for it then it clearly cant be a decent job can it

Mines fine, but it's only a few months old clutch. And I have routed cable properly with no snags ect.

if the cable isnt routed fairly freely it will cause it, not even worth tryin to guess without seeing it really but the simple answer is no it shouldnt be mega stiff and if the car isnt great like hes making out i doubt its due to an uprated clutch either lol

When I converted my 1.0 corsa to an XE, the clutch felt the same, which IMO, is really heavy compared to the Golf/Vectra/IS200 etc that I also drive regualry

you might be right actually, the golf and vectra most probably are, the Is200 Im not sure of
to add to the situation, out of all the cars Ive ever driven, the corsa (both XE and 1.0) still has the heaviest clutch I have ever driven!, But back on topic, from 1.0 to XE, it felt about to the same
