 | Went to Stockport on Friday afternoon, had a little test drive and a scout round and parted with some cash.

I can't get the pictures to save of eBay so i'll just post the link.

 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A3-2-0-TDI-SPORT-SAT-NAV-BOSE-/180694689147?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a123e257b

It's got most of the optional extras you could ask for. Sat nav, BOSE speaker system, dual climate etc.

And here's a couple of pictures I took when I got home.

Very, very please with it. Not had less than 45mpg and managing to get nearly 55mpg on motorway runs.

No plans for it yet but I wouldn't mind some half leather, a slight drop and some wheels.

 Jakey.

 | Are you joking?! Try and find one now with all the extras and mileage for less than £7000.

 | £6400 does seem pricey for an 8 year old A3...

 | Does seem alot for a 53 plate, even considering the spec and milage. Looks nice though and they are difficult to find with such low miles at that age

 | Agreed on price comments, but it's still a lovely car, good choice. I love the Bose stuff in mine

 | I cant find one similar with the milage and extras for less.

On autotrader there seems to be loads of the old shape a3 TDI for abut 5k so this seems worth the extra?

 | In my opinion they're all over priced
If I was spending £6.5k on a car it'd be a lot more interesting than a diesel A3.

 | Im not trying to piss on your fire jakey, im just saying how much is was seeing as it looks the same.

Had loads of problems though. head cracked, rear window wiper motor stop working and leaked water into boot. Rev counter went mad and started going all the way around, popped boost pipes off a couple of times. (just off the top of my head). I thought his was just a shitter, but after googling the issues, it seems other people have had them too.

I was in the market for one after i sold my megane F1 a couple months back, but i could not justify the price/potential cost when it goes wrong. I will probably still buy one but a 2.0 fsi. Alot less to go wrong.
