Im going to stay at a mayes on the weekend and they dont have wireless internet but the neigbours do ...

How could i 'hack' into theres if im on a archos 101 tablet or an iphone??

if its a thompson router you can get the key quite easy.

If not you need a special wifi card to be able to inject packets.

With the amount of packets you need to catch, you'd probably not even have it sorted over weekend anyway. Past few I've done have been at least a couple of days logging.

EDIT: WEP that is.

Can't say I've ever done WEP key in 5mins, definitely usually takes at least 24hrs of logging from the ones I've done, although they weren't busy networks. It differs really, sometimes they've cracked with 5K IVs but other times I've needed 20K IVs to do them, but that depends on the key length I suppose. I do love cracking WEP tho because it's not a question of 'if' but more of a question of 'when'. Pretty much all my mates upon moving into their own gaff have had me round to get them internet

EDIT: As mentioned tho, the best routers are the Thompsons, which take a whole 1 second to do

its not really hacking. Its just a program that runs on your laptop that intercep's wireless packets and can decrypt WEP passwords

WEP password can be hacked because the key never changes.

WEP might aswell be open.

WPA2/WPA keys are different for each user's session.
