They do look amazing in Arden Blue. You'll hear bad things about them from people that believe anything said on Top Gear, but from owners it would be a different story.

alot of car for the money but regardless of what TG say they do handle crap, the owners even say so on the vectra forums, im sure a few mods would sort that though

I don't see why maybe lowering it slightly would sort the cornering out.

Majority of owners on vectra forums reckon they aren't bad handling cars at all for what they are

Alot of car for the money and very rarely go wrong! We had a chappy in at my work (vx dealership) with one on monday. 07/07, 39k, FSH, 19's, Leather, Sat Nav - Book value = £6.4k. He was gutted. Definitely my next car after my current Astra VXR

The reason they got slated on TG was because a) JC hates Vauxhalls and b) they removed the fuse for the traction control, which also controls the electonics for the IDS suspension, which made it look much worse than it is.

i think its pretty evident a big car with sort of power FWD is not going to handle amazingly around corners.

For sure.

But alot of people over-look what it is an compare it to a hot hatch. There is a 8 page thread over on Saxp at the moment where people are comparing it to RS Meganes, M3s and M5s FFS.

For what it is,its not a bad handling car.

They didnt test the titanics handling around the nurburgring because they knew it wouldnt corner quite as well as a 106 gti but everyone knew that, so why would anyone dislike a nice looking family car because its no as good as the astra or corsa is beyond me.

But they apparently the don't handle bad for a big car, which is why I said they don't handle bad for what they are.

I've got the SRi version. Obviously its no lowered nimble corsa but get it on a country lane etc and you can still chuck it into the bends even with the big diesel engine up front.

obviously the vxr will have better suspension etc too

Vectra VXR imo is the best in the range, alot of peeps have them about here always lots of them at VXROnline meets, full of gadgets, comforts, space and a hell of a lot of power can be put out withought much hassle i was amazed how well they went.

One of the best i have seen is a fella i know local, a nice amount of touches internal, external and engine wise

Thing is it doesnt matter how big the car is, if your in a FWD car with big horsepower and the traction control turned off, enter a corner and plant your foot then its going to understeer no matter what car it is.

Apparently a whiteline on the rear makes a massive difference

Corsa 1.6 sport - 1
1.7 puma engined fiesta - 0

Keeping corsa's on the redline since 2008
