Well its time for a small update.

Been busy doing a little detailing so the corsa been stuck in the garage for a while. So i thought i would treat myself to a few little goodies.

Al let the pics do the talking....

Think al be buying a bit more once xmas is out the way. A new exhaust is first on the list i think.
Cant wait to get stuck in about it again. Get the manifolds on an running then its engine out time for a bit of a tidy up and paint the bay.

Cheers for looking guys

Chris

I was thinking about putting a set of adjustable pulleys on it, Not sure where i heard this but been told the standard cams can be adjusted to run better with other pulleys because there set up to run echotec(not sure if its true or not) Will have to find more info on this or eventually just stick new cams in it. I have already de restricted the air box. Dont want a cone filter on it.

Just a wee update the day,

Got the power box fitted an running again, Tidy'd up some of the wires while i was changing the manifold. Got a couple of pics of the engine stripped but hands were to dirty to take pics of it all built back up. Will get a couple of pics tomorow when i get back to it. Its nearly time to start stripping the engine out of the car.

Its not going to bad considering i only get a few hours at the weekends to work on it.

Got stuck in about the car again today and remembered to take a couple pics of the bay before i stripped it.

A wee pic of the powerbox fitted, It fired up no probs once fitted.

The 4 branch has also started to turn a purple colour, Looks minted

Then within the next couple of hours i got the car to this stage.....

Next weekend al finish stripping the engine bay an make a start to cleaning it up, Might even get it rubbed down and a bit primer on it.
As always al keep you all up to date with some pics as it happens.

Cheers for looking guys

Well i thought it was going to be the weekend before i got back to the car again, But my parents wanted to see the kids so i took them down and left them in the house

So i went out to the garage and did a little more, Managed to get all the wiring out the bay, Most of the brake pipes, The wings off the car and all the pedals out (Accelerator, brake an clutch). Not bad for just under 2 hours.

Pics........

Hopefully this weekend al get the rest of the brake lines an fuel lines out the bay, Get it all cleaned an start preping it for painting or atleast primer

Another update.

Got a good amount done today apart from running out of primer, Went to get more an the paint shop was closed so there goes that idea till next time. Got stuck in about the bay with the grinder and got rid of all the unwanted bolts(looks so much better) then dropped the anti roll bar and bottom arms of the car. Then it was cleaning time and get it ready for primer.

All Cleaned and ready for paint prep wipes,

Then it was ready to get its first coat of primer, Managed to get 2 good coats on but it could do with another 2 but we ran out of primer. Once the primer was dry an cause i couldn't put anymore on i decided to start relocating some of the wiring looms an fit my water bottle to its new home.

Made a new hole under the bulk head for the loom instead of it hanging over the gearbox.

Thats pretty much how the car will be for the next couple of weeks, The wife booked us a weeks holiday in the sun.

I said i wasn't going to touch the car today but couldn't help myself. Was only going down to measure up for new pipe work and grommets to cover up unwanted holes. Ended up fitting my oil catch tank to its new home so had to fit the old headlight and radiator to make sure i had enough clearance to fit everything in. Its a bit on the tight side but nothing touches.........

All comments good an bad welcome folks.

Cheers for all the replys guys,

The engine bay is now complete. All 11 coats of primer, paint an laquer are done and i've made a start putting some of the stuff back into the bay. The pics really don't do it any justice, It is liquid yellow from the Megane and Clio. It looks 100 times better in the flash. Can't wait to get the interior done the same colour now.

Al shut up an let you see the pics.....

Hope you all like it, It was done with spray cans so not 100% perfect but i'm happy as hell with it.
