What's the best cloud-based backup solution for a Win 7 Pro PC to automatically back up files whenever they are created/modified, without the PC having to be logged in as a user?

Well I suppose it could be a scheduled backup, but in any case it has to be an offsite backup (this customer I'm asking this on behalf of has NO backup whatsoever at the moment! )

I suppose I could be a reseller, I don't really have a huge call for sorting out backup solutions though TBH - but if being a reseller gets better pricing then I'm game!

Rackspace Cloud Files or Amazon S3 can be used for this.

How much space are we talking?

For small amount (I have 3.75GB free) Dropbox is great. It monitors a folder and will sync any changes to the cloud automatically. Great clients for all platforms.

Ed - I was thinking of AS3 but will need some sort of program to upload the files regularly/on demand.

Rob - No idea as yet. I'll have to check on space next time I'm there.

They won't have a problem paying for it BTW so anything doesn't necessarily have to be free.

This is a Rackspace solution: https://www.jungledisk.com/business/

This is an S3 solution: http://tntdrive.com/

Jungle Disk is the name that keeps on popping up, though I think it's changed as of late.

Biggest problem I found with the S3 based ones are that it can start to cost a lot of money if you make regular changes to file due to thier bandwidth charge. It might be cheap to store the file but if they are changing often then each change is a tranfer which can really add up.

Yup, I guess you need to be careful when calculating your usage before you commit. Rackspace only charge for bandwidth and storage, not requests so they could work out cheaper. Jungle Drive looks quite good as it appears to be on a fixed price user?

Mozy home is great for personal backup. I would use it myself but really annoyingly they won't allow thier home product to be run on Windows HOME server. Its where all my stuff is stored and runs 24/7 so need to run it from there.
