What's the matter with him calling it a Miata? It's badged as a Miata and I'm assuming it'll say Miata on the logbook It's like someone importing an Opel Corsa and being told to call it a Vauxhall for no apparent reason.

Of course I've just made a bit of a tit of myself if he turns around and says he got the badges off ebay, I'm confident it's a proper import though.

as far as i know, it's a uk mx5, not an import. so it isn't an mx5.

thats like me calling my old focus an XR5 because thats what it's badged as in australia.

Because its a Miata and thats the US version of an MX5.

How do you get away with driving with that plate on though??

Not me, I just seemed to remember seeing it with UK plates on so the Cali plates confused me a bit so thought I'd check. Oh and I'd call it a Nova because that's what they're called over here so people know what you're on about.

I wasn't on about you, was just in general. Most, if not all would call it a Nova, its just the same as what hes doing, except back to fron't.

Infact, it is a bit strange. Meh

It's not a eunos or a miata

It's a bloody mx5 with cut springs and top mounts.
