Anonymous did actually say they wouldn't target PSN as it effected the users. Shame they're only useful behind a computer screen. Their Sony store boycott turnout was shameful

Sony are taking a guy to court for modding the software on PS3's iirc, 4chan went all internet and said they were going to take revenge, something along those lines, was weeks ago when I read the thread on it.

The court thing is all over and done with now, Danny. Considering he was "for the people" and upwards of $30k was donated, I was kind of disappointed with the result, which was him basically agreeing never to touch a Sony product again.

anonymous arent claiming it was them. a statement from their website says they have targeted sony products before but this time it wasnt them, and that sony are putting the blame on them to disguise that its an internal server fault that caused it to crash.. or something
