Got a mate who has picked up a sri cavalier cheaply whilst his car is being fixed. He wants to flog it in a couple of weeks for a few hundred quid.

Now I know you can put the Astra and Calibra engines into a Corsa but is the Cavalier engine exactly the same?
Has anyone ever done this?

yeah the engines in the calibra and cav are the same. they are the same car underneath

being the SRi, its probably the 2.0 8v engine. Not bad. 115bhp. Better off with the 2.0 16v TBH.

yeah, think drew on here has done this conversion with the cav SRi 130 lump.. ask him he may help between mouthfulls of pizza

Remember some later SRi 16vs used the redtop 150bhp engine.

few wing mods maybe needed, nothin seriously harsh, probably get f20 or f28 gearbox though. mr whippy is a shitstabber

cav engine willk fit in the corsa no problem.
u can use either F20 or F16 gearbox
