apparently it sliced his juggular and was held together by a tiny strand, if that had broken he would have died instantly, but was still only minutes from death as it was

This was also pretty bad recently, guy broke two vertabrates. Not as bad as a skate to the neck though!

There was a askate to the face last week & the guy picked himself up, went to the bench to get stitched up & then tried to start a fight with the other teams bench. Unreal

why does ice hockey invoke so many fights? its quite amusing because they are on ice, also i reckon they only fight because they are covered in helmetes and padding etc

A quick browse of youtube will show you some of the damage that can be done if people want to hurt someone. I think it's just safer for them to fight & get it over with, plus you only get the sinbin for 5 mins

saw this happen at powerleague not too long ago, was grim. and a couple weeks before that i guy that was helping fill in for our sunday team snapped his tib and fib.

Thats shit, only filling in aswell

My mate snapped his tib & fib in September 2008 and even now he isnt back properly. We just set up a new 6 a side team and had our first game last night. Every time he goes in for a tackle I whince.

I refuse to watch leg breaks they turn my stomach

I would watch the guy get his head chopped off with a rusty blade before a bad leg break.
