Well this Sunday sees the season opener at Brands Hatch Indy with a pretty interesting field set to line up.

Lots of new entries courtesy of the NGTC regs and iirc 3 Avensis next gen cars on the grid.

I fancy Plato doing well again, but Chevy's lack of next gen spec engine is going to hurt them once other teams get used to the new set up and iron out any niggles. They better get the turbo engine sorted for a mid season upgrade imho.

Sheds should be interesting to watch again

Usual 7hrs coverage on Sunday, 11-6 on ITV4.

you can watch qualifying on itv website on the saturday aswell now!

going to be a good year of racing, but it will only get better, the options teams now have for a chassis to run to full ngtc rules will bring alot of different cars back into the btcc, as you have seen all ready with the avensis being popular, and the A4's will be out to race soon aswell,

i think honda will have it in the bag this year if there ngtc engine holds up to the job!

I'm very surprised Chevy haven't moved to turbo straight off. There's no hiding the family resemblance between their engine and the Vauxhall XE, which I understand was the basis for the TOCA "spec" engine.

Cannot fucking wait. Sod F1. If you want action packed, accessible racing that you can relate to then BTCC is the one.

I'll be supporting Paul Oneil, TOC and the Audi's this year.

You can't help but support Paul Oneil. Done his fair amount of giant slaying on heehaw budget and by christ he let's his emotions show.

Is TOC racing for someone who'll let him show his potential this year or another season with Team Chilton-Snr's-Wallet?

He's had to take a drive with AMD in Hollomby's Golf. But he should be able to pedal it alot faster than Hollomby.

Anything will be better than getting shafted by the Chilton clique again.

I think Hollomby had quite a few reliability issues last year which, coupled with his general lack of pace, made the car look slower than it is. I hope Onslow Cole shows his pace in it.

Can't stand Tom Chilton, always comes across as a bit of a brat.

Tom Onslow-Cole has left Aon and signed for AmD, so I wonder who will partner Tom Chilton? I asked him on twitter but no reply

yeah but i dont think we will see this untill later in the year, i think they are planning to do what vauxhall, seat, bmw etc done when closing in on championships and put another car on the grid, would be good to see it sooner rather than later but i dont think that will be the case
