reliabilty is a major issue.. comapred to a valver on TB;'s.. which can take loads of abuse in comparison to a c20let..

But what you have to look at any fwd pushing big horses is traction... with the turbo spinning is gonna be difficult to achieve a low 0-60 sprint compared to a valver... unless maybe bucks is thrown in customising suspension..

but to push big power at a minimal cost.. turbo is the way to go... just ensuring u dont blow the turbo and melt a piston is another issue..

ur all slating the turbo route, but a C20LET conversion is 2.5k yer and thats 204bhp and im not sure on the torqe, a 2.0 conversion is 1.5k + 2k for TBs and whatever to fit it say £300-500 so thats nearly 4k for same BHP and probley less torqe

also id say that a standard C20LET is more reliable than a tuned 2.0, if the C20LET is standard than thats how vauxhall designed it to run and it will be reliable, why not? my uncle has a cali turbo tuned to 280bhp and has no probs with it

end of the day its up to u tho, ur money, ur car, people should only advise u, not make ur own mind up
